Epitalon 10 mg reconstitution calculator

How much bac water for epitalon 10 mg?

There’s no single right amount: the water sets the strength, not how much epitalon is in the vial, so use the volume on your pharmacy’s instructions. For example, 1 mL makes 10 mg/mL and 2 mL makes 5 mg/mL; the table below shows what each volume means on a U-100 syringe.

About the 10 mg vial

Water may not dissolve 10 mg at these strengths

The FDA’s 2026 review notes there is “limited reliable aqueous solubility data in the literature” and says that, due to epitalon’s limited solubility in water, “it may not be possible to compound epitalon (free base) injection at 3 mg/mL using water as the solvent” (FDA). Every example on this page is stronger than that: 10 mg in 1 mL is 10 mg/mL, in 2 mL 5 mg/mL and in 2.5 mL 4 mg/mL. Even 3 mL of water would make 3.3 mg/mL. The review gives no strength at which epitalon is known to dissolve fully in water. If powder is left or the liquid stays cloudy after gentle swirling, don’t use it; ask a pharmacist.

Epitalon, epithalon and epithalamin

Epitalon and epithalon are two spellings of the same synthetic four-amino-acid peptide, Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly (a 2011 study). Epithalamin is not the same thing. The FDA “considers epitalon and epithalamin as different substances”: epithalamin “is a polypeptide complex extracted from the pineal gland”, while epitalon was synthesized from a study of its amino acids (FDA). This calculator assumes the vial holds 10 mg of the single four-amino-acid peptide. If your label says epithalamin, or doesn’t name the peptide clearly, these figures may not describe your vial; ask a pharmacist before mixing.

Free base or acetate changes the storage advice

The FDA treats epitalon (free base) and epitalon acetate as different bulk substances and judged both “not well characterized” (FDA). The storage reports its review cites differ by form. For the free-base powder: “stable at room temperature for 3 weeks”, but better “stored desiccated below -18°C, because exposure to moisture greatly decreases the long-term stability of lyophilized peptides.” For the acetate, a nominator’s certificate of analysis gives storage “in a sealed container at 2°C to 8°C in a fridge or freezer.” If your vial doesn’t say which form it holds, you can’t tell which of these applies. General advice: how to store peptides.

No safety data behind the 10 mg on the label

There’s no approved epitalon product, so nothing official sets a water volume or checks that the vial holds 10 mg (see the status below). The FDA’s 2026 review concluded “there are no clinical data to support the safety” of epitalon in humans. It also raises a cancer concern: epitalon “has been shown to activate telomerase and lengthen telomeres, and longer telomeres are generally associated with increased risk for cancer” (FDA). The FDA’s compounding safety-risk page, in its list of withdrawn nominations, says compounded epitalon may pose a risk of immune reactions for some routes, from aggregation and peptide-related impurities (FDA). Talk to a prescriber or pharmacist before mixing.

How this epitalon calculator works

This epitalon reconstitution calculator starts from the 10 mg in your vial. Add the water you mix it with and the dose your prescriber gave you; it divides the mg by the mL to get the strength, then turns your dose into mL and units on a 30, 50 or 100-unit syringe.

Peptinote never suggests a dose or a water volume. The example volumes are there to make the math easy to check, not as advice. For the full method, see the peptide calculator.

Questions people ask

How much bac water for epitalon 10mg?

There’s no single right amount: use the volume on your pharmacy’s instructions. The water only sets the strength; the vial still holds 10 mg however much you add. With 1 mL it’s 10 mg/mL (100 mcg per unit), with 2 mL 5 mg/mL (50 mcg per unit) and with 2.5 mL 4 mg/mL (40 mcg per unit). Enter your volume and prescribed dose above to get the units. This product isn’t FDA-approved, so no official label sets a water volume and its contents aren’t verified.

How much bacteriostatic water to mix with 10mg of epitalon?

Whatever volume you add, only the strength changes; the vial still holds 10 mg. More water spreads it out, so each unit holds less and the same dose takes more units: easier to measure, but more liquid to inject. Going from 1 mL to 2.5 mL takes each unit from 100 mcg to 40 mcg. Check the volume on your pharmacy’s instructions first. This product isn’t FDA-approved, so no official label sets a water volume and its contents aren’t verified.

How much bac water for epitalon?

Use the volume your pharmacy specifies, and never more than the vial itself can hold (its size in mL, not the 10 mg on the label). If you weren’t given a volume, ask a pharmacist before mixing. For reference, the bac water calculator shows the arithmetic: water (mL) = vial mg × units ÷ (dose mg × 100). This product isn’t FDA-approved, so no official label sets a water volume and its contents aren’t verified.

How do I reconstitute epitalon 10 mg?

Wipe both stoppers with alcohol and let them dry. Draw the volume of bacteriostatic water your pharmacy specifies into a new syringe, add it slowly down the inside of the vial, then swirl gently until clear; don’t shake. Label it with the strength: 10 mg in 1 mL is 10 mg/mL. Full steps: how to reconstitute peptides.

How do I reconstitute an epitalon peptide vial?

Mixing your epitalon 10 mg vial takes the bacteriostatic water your pharmacy specifies and a new sterile syringe. Add the water slowly against the glass and swirl, never shake, until the liquid is clear. If it stays cloudy or has particles, don’t use it; call your pharmacy. Then write the strength and date on the vial and store it as the label says (how to store peptides).

Is there an epitalon peptide calculator?

This page is the epitalon 10 mg reconstitution calculator. Enter the water you add (or tap an example volume) and your prescribed dose, and it shows the units to draw on a 30, 50 or 100-unit syringe, the strength, and the doses in the vial, with every step of the math. It never suggests a dose.

Can Peptinote tell me how many units to take?

No. Peptinote never suggests a dose. Enter the dose your prescriber gave you, and the calculator shows how to measure it: the units, the mL and where the line sits on your syringe, with every step of the math. If you aren’t sure what your dose is, ask your prescriber or pharmacist before drawing anything. How our calculator works.
